Rates

Rates can be a tricky subject in the world of making art. Every project is unique, which makes it hard to give an exact quote without first understanding your vision.

With that in mind, some parts of the process I can only estimate or give examples for, while other parts I can outline more specifically.

Production Breakdown

No two projects are alike. Some songs need extra time upfront — refining the composition, shaping the arrangement, programming, or bringing in session players — while others are closer to finished and move quickly into recording.

Because of that, there’s no one-size-fits-all price. The most important step is understanding your project: what the song needs, how you want it to connect, and the kind of journey it should take.

To help, I’ve put together some case-study ranges. These aren’t fixed prices, just guides to show what’s possible. Each range is all-inclusive — covering production, engineering, session musicians, studio hire, mixing, project management, and final delivery. Depending on your project, costs may end up a little higher or lower.

Demo - “ITB” Single

use demos in all pre-production to make sure we capture the best result when it’s time to record.

The main difference between a demo and a finished single is that demos are usually created in a simpler studio setup and rely more on programmed sounds than live instruments.

Sometimes a demo is as minimal as vocals with guitar or piano, just to map out the structure for full production. Other times—especially in certain genres—demos can sound full and polished enough to be release-ready. This is where the term “ITB Single” (“In the Box” Single) comes from: it means the entire production can be completed within the computer, apart from tracking live vocals.

Single

This package is all about giving one song the full treatment. We’ll spend time developing the track, refining sounds, and building it up with the right pre-production and a demo strong enough to take into the studio. From there, studio hire, engineering, and mixing are all included.

Because studios and session musicians usually have minimum booking times, producing just one track often costs more on a per-song basis. In fact, the time and resources needed to record a single can be quite similar to what’s required for three or four songs.

EP

This package is built around creating a complete EP, giving each track the focus it needs while approaching the project as a whole. We’ll shape the songs in pre-production, build strong demos, and then move into recording with studio hire, engineering, and mixing all included.

Working on multiple songs together means the process flows more efficiently — the time and resources stretch further than if we tackled each track in isolation, while still giving every song the care it deserves.

Album

An album can be an artist’s magnum opus, and I want to make sure every one gets the care it deserves. Like the EP, pricing is structured to cover the full process — only with more songs involved.

What really shapes the process here is the level of pre-production. Crafting an album means taking the time to develop each track while also weaving them together into a larger body of work, so we’ll spend the energy upfront to make sure it becomes the piece of art it’s meant to be.

With all this in mind, I’d love to hear about your project. My goal is to help you reach yours in whatever way makes the most sense. Sometimes the dream single you’ve been imagining can be created entirely in the box, making it simpler and more affordable than expected. Other times, it might be the perfect moment to go all in and finally bring that EP or album you’ve been writing over the last decade to life.

If there’s anyway you think I can help you please reach out and let’s chat!
