Mixing

An immersive mix pulls you deeper into the world of a song.

The process starts with clarity of purpose, what do we want the listener to feel?

Once that’s defined, the path unfolds: we refine the recordings, prepare the canvas, and begin shaping the sound into something that envelops and moves.

My Approach

How We’ll Work Together

1. Connect

The first step is a conversation about your project your goals, any production challenges that may affect the mix, and a listen through the rough mixes. This ensures the direction of the mix is clear from the start.

2. Getting the Tracks Ready

When your files arrive, I’ll make sure they’re in good shape and ready to go. I’ll give you simple guidelines for exporting so we can avoid headaches later. From there, I’ll import everything into my mix session, organize the tracks (labeling, color-coding, balancing), and build a clean foundation to mix from.

3. Mixing

This is where the song comes to life. Using the project brief as a guide and referencing the rough mix when needed, the track is balanced, shaped, and enhanced to bring out its full potential. An initial mix version is delivered for feedback.

5. Revisions

Your feedback is part of the process. After you’ve had time to listen, revisions are made based on your feedback. This can be done remotely or in person if preferred. The goal is to get the mix feeling right for both the artist and the audience.

6. Asset Preparation

Once the mix is approved, the final files are prepared. This typically includes the main mix, instrumental, and vocal stems. Additional stem requests can be accommodated on a project-by-project basis.

7. Delivery

The final assets are delivered in a professional format, ready for mastering and release. You’ll receive everything you need to move forward with confidence.
